The conventional wisdom is that youth are the church of tomorrow, but at Eastview, teenagers are the church of today as well.  We desire to help teenagers know and follow Jesus through a comprehensive, balanced youth program.

The Call to Follow Christ: Six Disciplines for New & Growing Believers
The Call to Follow Christ: 6 Disciplines for a New & Growing Believer is a foundational discipleship resource that will guide new and growing believers to understand and begin implementing six disciplines into their daily lives. One week is devoted to each of the six disciplines to ground new believers in habits that will last a lifetime. Study is great for small-group settings in homes, churches, or community centers. Leader Guide included. (6 sessions)

The Call to Follow Christ is the first of the Growing Disciples Series developed by Claude King, co-author of Experiencing God. Subsequent studies help new and growing believers understand and put into action these 6 disciplines for a lifestyle of faithful and fruitful life in Christ.

Join us on Sunday evenings at 6pm as we learn and grow together!

The youth ministry is in the beginning stages of planning and preparing a vegetable garden. The garden will be used to help the community, including (but not limited to) low income families, single mothers, etc. The youth will host a “Farmer’s Market” at the office location downtown on a weekly basis in order to distribute the food to the hungry.

Interested in helping out??

Here are some ways you can support this project:

1.       PRAY for the youth, the people they will be ministering to, and that God will be glorified.

2.      DONATE FINANCIALLY

3.      DONATE YOUR SERVICE—we are looking for people with Gardening / Canning expertise to walk alongside the youth and teach

 them the skill of gardening.

What is 30 Hour Famine?
**It's not your average group activity. (This one saves lives.)**
  • Nearly 8,000 kids die each day because of hunger. Some starve. Some get sick and their hungry bodies are too weak to fight. Either way, the result is the same.
  • Another child dies every 10 seconds.
You can do something about it. Our youth group will band together with students and youth groups all over the world to fight hunger. Save lives. Write a different story for the planet.

Just imagine. We could be the generation who banished hunger to the history books.

The "Famine" consists of students around the world loving God and fighting hunger.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of students do the Famine. They go without food for 30 hours. They learn what it takes to stop hunger in its tracks. They raise funds to help feed and care for tens of thousands of kids all over the world.

 How can I help?
1.  All of our youth members are seeking sponsors for the Famine event.  100% of the proceeds will go directly toward fighting hunger.  For just $1 a day ($30 a month) you can feed, clothe, and care for one child for a whole month.

If you would like to donate by debit/credit card over a safe and secure website, follow the link below:

Once you get to the website Click on "Search for a student or group."  Our Group Name is Eastview Baptist Church.

2.  We are also hosting a fundraiser well known as the "PURPLE POTTY"!

With a $5 donation you can request the potty to be put in the person of your choice's yard.
With a $10 donation you can have the potty removed from your yard and placed in the person of your choice's yard.
With a $15 donation you can purchase PURPLE POTTY INSURANCE and ensure that the potty does not get placed in your yard.  (Insurance must be renewed after 30 days)
3.  Fast along with us on April 27-28.

4.  Pray for our youth as many of them experience their very first fast.

"You can have this kingdom, because I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was alone and away from home, and you invited me into your home. I was without clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you came to visit me.' "Then the good people will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food? When did we see you thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you alone and away from home and invite you into our home? When did we see you without clothes and give you something to wear? When did we see you sick or in prison and care for you?' "Then the king will answer, 'I tell you the truth. Anything you did for any of my people here, you also did for me.'" Matthew 25:35-40
